Amanda Tindall’s kindergarten class at Murphy Elementary recently brought their imaginations to life! Her students drew unique monsters and created background stories for them. Tindall then teamed up with Woodridge Middle School FACS teacher Jessica Miers, whose students were learning to sew. Miers’ students took the kindergarteners’ drawings and transformed them into real plush creations! Yesterday, Tindall’s class received their handmade monsters, while Miers’ students got to see their reactions live via Google Meet. A wonderful example of creativity, collaboration, and hands-on learning across grade levels!

Snow Day for Lion Nation!
Good morning, Lion Nation. The snow band arrived early this morning and looks to keep going through the morning commute. Though this band is light, it will accumulate, and we are expecting heavy snow around dismissal. Out of an abundance of precaution, the Northwest R-I School District will be closed on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. Be safe, stay warm, and enjoy your snow day.
