NJHS is sponsoring a school supply raffle. Bring in a new school supply or $1 to receive a raffle ticket to win prizes such as gift cards and other items! All money raised will be used to buy school supplies for teachers. The drawing for the baskets will be held on May 2.

Today, we celebrate our amazing school bus drivers! Rain or shine, they’re the first to greet our kids in the morning and the last to see them home safe. Thank you for your kindness, patience, and dedication. You drive more than buses—you drive futures.

This week's #TeacherProudTuesday honoree is Woodridge Middle School English Language Arts teacher Roseanne Snodgrass!
Dr. Liz Green, principal at WMS, said "She is meticulous about teaching well-prepared lessons and she understands the needs of the learners in her classroom. She is a dependable colleague and a trusted confidante for students." Thank you for everything you do for our students, Mrs. Snodgrass!

Band Rental Night for the whole district is tomorrow, April 22, at Woodridge Middle School. This is for all students playing an instrument in the 2025-2026 school year. It is an Open House, and families can come anytime between 5 and 7 p.m.

📚✨ Happy Library Media Specialist Appreciation Day! ✨📚
Today, we celebrate the incredible librarians who turn books into adventures, knowledge into power, and libraries into safe havens for curiosity and learning! 💙📖
A special shoutout to Ms. Dobbs, the amazing librarian at Woodridge! 🎉 From finding the perfect book recommendation to creating fun and engaging activities that help students discover new genres, she makes the library a magical place. Whether it’s a book-tasting event, a scavenger hunt, or a creative reading challenge, Ms. Dobbs always finds ways to make reading exciting!
Thank you, Ms. Dobbs, for your passion, dedication, and for helping students explore new worlds—one book at a time! ❤️📚

Mrs. Bueter's Advanced Math class made 3D shapes today to help understand the Geometry concepts of faces, edges, vertices, and bases. This also helps them understand how the shapes are named.

🌟 Happy Paraprofessional Day! 🌟
Today, we celebrate the amazing paraprofessionals who bring patience, kindness, and dedication to our schools every day! 🍎📚 From supporting students in the classroom to tackling the ultimate challenge—lunch duty with a group of middle schoolers—you do it all with grace (and maybe a little bit of earplugs! 😆).
Your impact goes far beyond academics. You are mentors, encouragers, and the extra support that so many students rely on. Whether it’s looking for lost phones, calming nerves, or navigating the chaos of a cafeteria full of hungry pre-teens, you do it all with heart! 💙
Thank you for everything you do!

There is a tornado warning in our area. Children will not be released until the warning is over. We are taking shelter in schools. Buses are heading back to elementary schools and ECC campus if they have already left.

Looking for something to do on April 25? Look no further than the WMS Talent Show! Hope to see you there!

Please take a moment to read through the April Leader In Me Parent Newsletter.

We are one month away from the deadline to register for Summer School and the 2025-26 school year! Summer School is tentatively scheduled for June 2-30, 2025.
All families must complete the online registration by May 2, 2025, to ensure transportation for both 2025 Summer School and the 2025-2026 school year. Summer School is tentatively scheduled for June 2 - June 30, 2025. If registration is not complete by the deadline, your student will not receive transportation for the first full week of summer school or for the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.

We’re kicking off our spring fundraiser to help fund student celebrations, and we need your support!
Throughout the year, we host exciting events like pep assemblies, student awards, and end-of-year celebrations to recognize our students' hard work, school spirit, and achievements. These moments create lasting memories and give our students the recognition they deserve—but we need your help to make them happen!
We’ve partnered with Toasted Coffehouse, a local coffee shop, to sell delicious dry goods (think gourmet muffin mix, specialty coffee blends, and more). And the best part? Orders will be ready just in time for Mother’s Day!
✨ How You Can Help:
✔️ Place an order and treat yourself (or Mom!) Order Forms were sent home today
✔️ Spread the word—every purchase supports student celebrations
✔️ Order deadline: April 24
Let’s make this fundraiser a success while giving back to our amazing students and supporting a local business!

Congratulations to the April Students of the Month. Woodridge is proud of all of you!
