As a designated Leader in Me Lighthouse school, Woodridge students and staff try hard to live the 7 habits in our daily lives. Thank you for supporting these great habits in your homes, Woodridge families!

Microscope Monday! Mrs. Annis' and Mr. Cathcart's sixth grade science students practiced using microscopes as part of a lab where they viewed plant and animal cell slides . Then, students drew what they saw and also wrote a description.

Exciting News!!! Junior Wrestling Sign-Ups Begin This Week!! This is for any student from grades 1st to 8th in the Northwest School District! Please contact nwjrwrestling@gmail.com with any questions or see the information below. Thank you!

We are POSITIVE math games do NOT have a NEGATIVE impact on students! :)
In Mrs. Naumann's math classes, her students learned about adding negative and positive numbers through a game called Grab-a-Charge. Each player would grab a handful of “charges,” negative and positive signs. They would then “cancel out,” by making zero pairs with opposites to see how many negatives or positives were left. They would bank those left and the player with the most in their bank, wins!

Woodridge is jumping right back into the business of learning! For example, our F.A.C..S. classes are sewing away! According to F.A.C.S. teacher Mrs. Jessica Miers, her student will know three stitches by the end of the week! And in 7th Grade E.L.A., Mrs. Snodgrass had her students using collaboration and critical thinking skills to make connections with ELA related vocabulary terms. Way to go, WMS!!

Let's sharpen those thinking skills! Last week, Mrs. Brutcher's 8th grade classes practiced their collaboration and critical thinking skills while trying to construct the longest paper chain. Here's a look at that activity...
